Winter Street Parking
Beginning on December 1 each year through March 15, parking is prohibited on City streets between the hours of 2 AM and 6 AM.
Residents who do not have a driveway or access to off-street parking may apply for a Winter Season Parking Permit beginning on October 1 of each year.
Applications may be submitted electronically. Please be advised a member of the Middletown Code Enforcement Department will need to verify eligibility for the permit. If approved, the applicant will be notified and a permit will be issued. An annual fee of $25 will be paid when the applicant picks up the permit.
Please be advised of the following when applying for a permit:
- This permit is NOT valid during any winter precipitation events (snow, sleet, and/or ice), as set forth in section 460‐14 (B) of the City of Middletown Code.
- Registration with the City of Middletown Emergency Notification system is required. by texting 10940 to 888‐777, via Nixle.com, or via MiddletownNY.gov
- Vehicle permits must be displayed in the vehicle windshield whenever the vehicle is parked on the permitted street.
- Parking is only permitted on the street in which the applicant resides, and within 100 feet of the applicant's address.
- Street parking availability is not guaranteed by the City of Middletown, NY or any representative or employee of the City of Middletown.
- Failure to comply with the above stipulations and/or Middletown City Code section 460—14 (B) will result in revocation of the Winter Season Street Parking Permit, and/or a fine of no more than $250, or any combination of the aforementioned.
- If any vehicle information changes, the applicant must notify the City Clerk’s office of the changes. If lost, a replacement placard may be acquired through the City Clerk’s office for a $5 fee.
