Derby from 9:00am – 12:00pm
In celebration of “National Take a Kid Fishing Week” there will be a fishing Derby on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Summit Pond in Fancher-Davidge Park from 8:30am – 12:00pm. Family members and friends are welcome, but participants must be between 5 and 15 years of age. Prizes will awarded to lucky anglers in 4 age brackets (5-7, 8-9, 10-12 & 13-15). Special thanks to the Lions Club Fishing Chairman Rollin Lybolt and the Middletown Lions Club.
For a day of fun and prizes, bring your fishing gear to the Lions Pavilion in Fancher-Davidge Park on Saturday, June 20, 2009.
On June 27th 2009 from 10am to 2pm the City of Middletown Police Department will be holding a combined event at Davidge Park off of Lake Avenue. The event will include youth D.A.R.E activities as well as a child car safety seat instalation and bicycle rodeo. As a part of the bicylce rodeo free helmets will be distributed to the childen who participate while supplies last.
