Recreation and Parks Department works year round to provide a wide range of safe and accessible recreational facilities and leisure time programs for participants of all ages. Whatever your interest may be, you can always find an activity or a special event to enhance your quality of life. Year round programs include: Special Events, Basketball, Soccer, Cheerleading, Community Center Programs, Fitness, Pre-School program, Teen Programs, Tennis.

The City of Middletown has thirteen parks available that can accommodate baseball, basketball, bicycling, cooking, fishing, football, horse shows, outdoor concerts, ice skating, jogging, picnics, playground activities, soccer, swimming, tennis, walking or just relaxing with the family or friends.Reservations for park facilities can be made by calling our office at least thirty days in advance. Reservations for the picnic pavilions in Fancher-Davidge, Ben & Paula Amchir Park, & Maple Hill are accepted beginning in January to reserve for dates of May 15th through Oct 15th of each year. A small fee is required. Revocable Permits are also issued for other requested use of City park property. Our Professional Staff look forward to serving you.

To Enroll for Spring and/or Summer Tennis Clinics you MUST REGISTER with the Middletown Recreation & Parks Department office located at 47 Academy Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940 either in person or via mail. You will NOT be permitted to do so at the Tennis Courts. For more information see attached registration form or call the Recreation Office at 346-4180.

The Middletown Recreation Pre-School Program is now accepting applications for the 2016-2017 school year. Our pre-school program is offered to both 3 & 4 year children, focusing on eye/hand coordination, socialization, and kindergarten readiness. Both a morning session, from 8:30am to 11:30am, and an afternoon session, from 12:00pm to 3:00pm is offered Monday through Friday. Classes begin Monday, September 12th. Pre-School Recreation Program 2016-2017
Sign up NOW for the 2014 Middletown Recreation Sports Camp! Sports Camp will have five (5) sessions this year starting the week of June 27, 2016. The 2016 Sports Camp will be located at the Monhagen Middle School, 555 County Rte. 78, Middletown, New York. Sports Camp is for boys and girls ages 6-13; and all activities will be offered according to each camper's level of ability. Camp Hours are 8:30am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday, rain or shine. A "Latchkey" program is offered daily from 3:00pm - 5:00pm for an additional fee. See attached registration and medical form or call 845-346-4180 for more details!
